I have been using happy for 4 plus years now and always been happy with them and about 2 or 3 week ago I need ac work done. More or less we ran Into a little problem and not even 12 hours after service I needed then to come back out to do even more work on my unit. I already spent so much. They was so kind to me but I didn't want to to put themselves in harm way cause all the storms. They worked around the weather and at the end of it all they backed their work up it fix it all at no more cast to me. And to top it all I received 3 call make sure my unit is working right the next week. This is way I keep using this company for all my house need. I understand most jobs I can do myself but why when their are still good people that care about and it not just about the money but about making us and our home happy that's why this company is so great and why I will always use them for all my needs. After my grandpa passed we didn't know anything about the unit was very different than what we are used to. Pa had just bought a new unit the is last year so Mom and I decided to get maintenance done to be sure ask is good and it was. Asked, the Hiller tech that came out was wonderful. ETA: Due to exceptional customer service following this situation, I want to edit my review. Within an hour or two of posting this review, Hiller’s customer service rep called me, apologized for our bad experience, and said they wanted to make things right. They were so kind and even refunded us the money we paid Hiller to investigate our leak as well as sending us a check to cover the fix the other company ended up doing. This restored our faith in Hiller as a brand. I think we will consider using Hiller again in the future knowing their customer service team is committed to honesty and integrity. TL;DR : Hiller lied to my face about what the problem was to scam us out of thousands of dollars. Do not use Hiller!!!! We called Hiller because our AC wasn't working at full capacity. They charged us a few hundred dollars to do a leak investigation bc the unit was leaking refrigerant. They told us we needed a new evaporator coil and quoted us $3500. They said they didn't think we should do that though and instead recommended we just replace the whole unit for $9000. They also said they'd have to schedule putting the replacement coil in for the following week, leaving us without AC for a week. Fortunately my husband insisted we get a second opinion. I called Universal Heating and Cooling the next day. They came within a couple hours and were able to fix it right then. Turns out it wasn't the evaporator coil at all but instead a metal tube that was leaking that the Universal guy was able to weld shut. This fix cost us only $700 and was done right away! We really regret paying Hiller everything we did just for them to look at the issue and lie to us! We've used Hiller a few times for plumbing in the past, but we will definitely never be using Hiller again. Do not recommend! Close
