My AC went down on a Saturday. I called Gunn Heating and Air, the company here in Eastpoint that installed the system a few years ago, and to my surprise, Hiller Heating &Air, Electrical, and Plumbing answered. Hiller bought Gunn a year or so ago. I had a fairly short time on hold, a pleasant fellow answered, took all the pertinent info related to the issue we are having, pulled up our file from Gunn, and setup a dispatch. The technician arrived within a half hour. He confirmed the issues, and went to work. You will not find for a better technician anywhere! He is very pleasant, polite, relatable and particularly, knowledgeable about HVAC systems of all kinds. He went directly to the problem, diagnosed, and repaired the issue quickly and efficiently. I asked if he also did electrical work and He mentioned that Hiller has a division that is very good in that field also, and another division that is dedicated to plumbing. The issue was the starter capacitor, the part was roughly$15.00, the labor cost is a standard flat book quote of $200.00! All in all, because of the quick response, excellent technician, and the need for cool in the house, I was happy to pay the bill. It seems that it should have been less for the labor to swap out a single, accessible part, and without the need to hookup gauges etc.... But, in 2025, prices for most thing are climbing quickly! If you need professional air conditioning repair, give Hiller a try, I think you will be happy with the responsive dispatch, and the professional work. Close
